Local artists launch Pro-Vision website
In case you missed it, a group of local artists launched a pro-Gregor Robertson website yesterday: WeBacktheJUICEMAN.ca. The site was created by Sean Devlin, who was behind the popular S---HarperDid.com.
“We wanted to do something to show our support for Mayor Robertson and Vision,” said Sean Devlin in a media release. "Having knocked on doors during the 2008 election, I wanted to contribute more creatively this time around. We're doing that while simultaneously developing a space for others to make creative contributions.”
So far, the “Juiceman” site features a promotional poster for a Vision “timeraiser”, a superimposed image of Robertson’s head on Ryan Kesler’s naked body, a Vision T-shirt and a video by the folks at Lido and Little Mountain Gallery explaining why they love Vision so much.
Not surprisingly, Ian Baillie, executive director of Vision Vancouver, told the Vancouver Observer that he likes the website.
"It feels great when groups go out of their way to create a sort of grassroots support and this is just another example of group of folks that have appreciated the leadership of Vision on the arts, and I think this is them showing they want to make sure that there's another three years of Vision Vancouver," Baillie said.
So which artistic collective will step up for Suzanne Anton and make a “WeBacktheMATHTEACHER.ca” website?
